Think Space is an interesting reality based in Zagreb and it's a open space for experimentation and ideas exchange.
Each year they have a specific theme and competitions about it, the last one in 2012 saw the re-visit of three important competitions that have changed the idea of architecture (The Peak, Yokohama port terminal, Blur Building) and we're having the winners as judges for the new proposals (Zaha Hadid, FOA, Diller + Scofidio). The Think Space Past Forward main objective was to re-reading recent history to find out if it influenced the present.
Until February 15th, the Storefront for Art and Architecture in New York will held the exhibition The Competitive Hypothesis about last years architecture competitions, rendering images' dioramas , short texts and self-portraits of some minds behind the winners. The goal is the same: reading the past to understand the present.
