TheJuicesqueezer ( TJS ) is an exclusive archive about art & design research and luxury goods such as: exquisite hotel design, haute couture, jewelry, handmade objects and antique furniture of highest quality.
Initiated in 2005, in Milan, Italy, nowadays the TheJuiceSqueezer became a digital wunderkammer curated by the creative couple Tommaso Maggio & Laura Perin. With an academic and professional background in Communication Design and Architecture, they are founders of a series of collaborative projects such as YONOK (2009-Now) a capsule collection born to be a tangible memoir about their experience in SouthEast Asia, MIXT an Italian-Mexican design-arts platform (2007-2013), CenamSumo a project on food cultures (2011-2015), TheJuiceSqueezer V.02(2010) - V.03 (2016), TLPrivateCollection an archive of their projects, from educational workshops for kids to communication strategy consultancy for brand and institutions (work in progress). Aim of all these platforms is to develop ‘Impossible Connexions’.
Tommaso Maggio, Founder and Editor in Chief

Tommaso Maggio is a product and communication design practitioner and academic. Maggio's practice investigates alternative ways of education, somaesthetics and consciousness. He is currently a Program Faculty Member, Senior Lecturer at the Dept. of Product Design, Assumption University, Bangkok, Thailand. Moreover Maggio is a PhDc at Planetary Collegium (founded by the british artist and theorist Roy Ascott), Plymouth University, UK - DeTao-Node, Shanghai. Since 2006 he is fully involved in studio teaching, lecturing and curriculum development in product and communication design. He taught at CommDe, Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, at CEDIM (Centro de Estudios Superiores de Diseño de Monterrey) in Mexico, at NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti) and IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) in Milano, Italy. He earned his Master of Science in Industrial Design at the Politecnico di Milano (2003), Italy and he was erasmus bursary at Kunsthochschule Kassel (Germany).
Furthermore in the last eighteen years his practice allowed him to work in a range of design disciplines from publishing, jewellery, branding, interior, to some experiments into the apparel and theatre. By working with institutions and companies across Asia, he has combined Italian design heritage and lifestyle with Eastern cultural influence.
Laura Perin, Executive Editor
Research and Innovartion Director | Interior Design | Hospitality.
Since 2011 she is part of Thai Interior Design firm ASCinterior as Research and Innovation Director and Head of the Communication Strategy, in charge of creating concept design proposal for clients from initial until final project stage and advising on all fronts of design. Responsible for Hospitality project in Thailand,India and Indonesia. Previously, she spent a year in Mexico City where she undertook the Communication Strategy position in Dellekamp Arquitectos, overseeing the publications, corporate publications and digital communications. While in Milan, she worked with IED (Istituto Europeo Design) Research Center. Furthermore, she was Design and Documentation Coordinator for the Torino Geodesign-Mobilizing the collective intelligence. 48 projects for "Torino, the first 'World Design Capital' (2007). She earned her Master of Science in Architecture at Technische Universität Graz, Austria. Beside the above -mentioned experience she has held several projects between art, fashion and design.
TheJuiceSqueezer Quick History
Originally based in Italy, our network has taken us to Mexico, Thailand, Cambodia, Switzerland and Greece. Founded on 2005 by Tommaso Maggio and named (LoSpremiagrumi). It was the first italian blog in italian language talking about topics as architecture, design, art, fashion, events etc. On 2010 Mixt has designed the new layout. The design of third Version was made in 2017 by Laura Perin and Tommaso Maggio and developed by Federico Liva. TheJuicesqueezer is a visual platform to exchange incentives, inspirations, but most of all experiences.
